Experience
2024-Present
Earlier this year, I voluntarily left my position at Neil Jones Food Company. I did this in order to concentrate on my long-term career goals. During this hiatus, I have refreshed my skills in drawing, design, and writing. I have also taken the time to learn new design software and coding languages. I am now in a position to apply these skills in a new role.
2023-2024
Accounts Payable Clerk, The Neil Jones Food Company
During 2023 I took up a job as an Accounts Payable Clerk. I was recommended for the position due to my exceptional attention to detail and my ability to problem-solve and work with others to remedy any discrepancies in the financial records. My supervisor also assigned special projects that spoke to my unique skills coming from a background as an English Major and overall creative. I developed and maintained new financial filing systems and worked to utilize shared resources to more efficiently validate and process incoming invoices. This role taught me a lot about teamwork and required me to learn new skills and apply my creativity and problem-solving abilities in novel ways.
2022-2023
Writer, Self
After my time at Ooligan Press, I worked on self-improvement between roles. I dedicated myself to becoming a better writer and graphic designer. During this period, I focused on self-discovery to rediscover my voice as a writer and learned additional skills necessary to keep up with the changing trends in my industry. I learned new content management systems and refined my photography and graphic design skills so that I could be an all-in-one media specialist.

Department Manager-Digital, Ooligan Press
In my role as Department Manager at Ooligan Press, I oversaw the workflow from digital files to finished e-books. I also attended executive team meetings and taught skills development classes on the digital production workflow.
2020-2021
Intern, Ooligan Press
As an Intern at Ooligan Press, I worked on a team focusing on one book and its path to publication. For the book, I worked on this meant seeing the book through the marketing phase. During this phase, I contributed to the team’s SEO research, created graphics and marketing copy for Social Media, and contributed to the planning of our virtual book launch. This also meant getting to know our book and author on a personal level and showcasing their value to our targeted demographic.
2019-2020
Peer Advisor, Huxley College of the Environment
As a peer advisor, I worked with students advising them on what courses to take as well as scheduling meetings with our department advisors. I also managed the physical and digital file systems for student records. During my time here, I managed my supervisor’s schedule as well as prepared my supervisor for each week of work by pulling requisite files. I also created the digital training process for future employees in my downtime to make the content searchable and easier to use.
